Messianic Musings

Introduction

Welcome to our blog page. The commentaries and articles in this Blog are a progressive addition to the essays in the main body of our webpage.

This is the place where many of the subjects on our main webpage will be explored and expanded along with other topics.
Some comments on the scriptural narrative will be conflict with time honoured traditions of both Jewish and Christian teaching. However, it is our desire to revisit the scriptural narrative in same way Sha’ul (Paul) did in his letters to the 1st century Messianic Community through the teaching of the Ruach HaKodesh.

We welcome questions and comments about what I share on this blog, but I do ask that any and all correspondence be presented in a manner that is constructive.

In the words of Sha’ul (Paul) in Acts 17:11 - Now the people here [in Berea] were of nobler character than the ones in Thessalonica; they eagerly welcomed the message, checking the Tanakh every day to see if the things Sha’ul was saying were true.

In keeping with Sha’ul’s words we urge all who read this Blog to be like those Bereans and check out all I have said, not against man-made traditions but against the Hebraic background of Scriptures themselves. Let us together endeavour to bring forth what is the true message from Scripture!

Really looking forward to installments of this Blog page. Just a small question, regarding the Timeline in your article Yeshua's Ministry, A Chronoligical Snapshot of Yeshua's ministry, Your chart records that Pesach in the year 29 CE fell on the 19th March. I understand that the number 19 is an auspicious number for/in Judaism: is this correct and does it have any bearing on the above event? Shalom. M

Hi Mal,
I am glad you found my blog. Yes I will be posting articles in the near future. As for your question I am not aware of any profound significance relating directly to the number 19. The fact that Pesach in the year 29CE fell on the 19th March would not have been significant because Isra’el at that stage observed all their Mo’adim in accordance with the Aviv calendar. What you may possibly thinking of is the observance of 9th of Av, which was the day the two Temples were destroyed - Shmueli
