An Open Letter to the NZ Minister of Foreign Affairs Regarding Recognition of the PA

Rt Hon Winston Peters,

Dear Sir,

As a fifth-generation citizen of New Zealand, I wish to bring to your attention that any Cabinet decision to recognise the Palestinian Authority (PA), now or in the future will not only violate the principles of International Law as recognised by most members of United Nations, but also and more importantly will be a direct violation of the two ancient territorial covenants made with Avraham the forefather of Israel nearly 4,000-years ago. The proposed recognition of the Palestinian Authority appears to be predicated on the assumption that they will in turn move toward genuine “statehood” in the foreseeable future, but the current reality and their own Charter suggest that will never happen.

Whether or not you and your fellow Cabinet colleagues agree with the scriptural narrative of the Bible, matters not, because the reality remains that the founding principles of New Zealand law along with many major events that have occurred throughout history have been a direct result of directives given within the first five books of the Bible (Torah).

World history has always been deeply entwined with both ancient and modern Israel. Hence, the historical rise and fall of seven great empires, along with the nations of modern world are together on a collision course with YHVH the God of Israel. What lies ahead for the UN and its member nations was foretold through the words of the scriptural narrative and is being played out on the world stage at this present time.

Therefore, I urge you and your Cabinet colleagues to carefully consider the relationship between the scriptural narrative and events in recorded history. Because recognition of a “Two-State Solution” between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, either now or at some other time in the future will have a detrimental effect on the future of both New Zealand and other like-minded members of the UN.

Ahead of your September considerations on the proposed Two-State Solution, I strongly encourage all members of the Cabinet to consider my paper on “The Scriptural Two-State Solution” attached herewith and particularly the Postscript at the end. Regardless of one’s religious belief, world history and Scripture together give a clear indication of where the world currently stands and decisions made now will severely impact all nations in the near future.

Yours sincerely,

Graeme Purdie,

Talmidei Yeshua Messianic Ministry of New Zealand
